Jerry Markowitz Receives 2018 Mark G. Stingley Leadership Award from the American Bankruptcy Institute

MIAMI, FLJanuary 4, 2109 – Bankruptcy Attorney Jerry M. Markowitz, Managing Shareholder of the law firm of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog, received the 2018 Mark G. Stingley Leadership Award from the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). The award recognizes a member who has demonstrated extraordinary support in the preceding year for the ABI Endowment Fund, which was created in 1989 to provide resources for research and education.

Managing shareholder Jerry M. Markowitz is one of South Florida’s leading business and bankruptcy reorganization law practitioners; and business and bankruptcy mediators. He is ranked in Chambers USA, a 2019 Best Lawyer in America, and is named to the 2018 Top 100 Miami Super Lawyers by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine. He is also a 2018 Top Lawyer in South Florida in the South Florida Legal Guide and was named to the 2018 Florida Trend Magazine Legal Elite Hall of Fame. Markowitz was re-appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute for a second three-year term in 2018. For the sixth consecutive year, Markowitz participated as a faculty member in the ABI/St. John’s Bankruptcy Mediation Training on December 9-13, 2018, in New York City, a collaboration among three leaders in the field of bankruptcy education and mediation training: American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), St. John’s Center for Bankruptcy Studies, and St. John’s Hugh L. Carey Center for Dispute Resolution.
