FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – June 9, 2023 – Alan R. Rosenberg, a partner in the firm’s Restructuring + Insolvency practice group, recently served as a panelist in a program entitled “Bankruptcy Code Provisions triggered by Digital Assets in Bankruptcy Estate and their Administration” at University of Miami School of Law’s 33rd Annual Bankruptcy Skills Workshop. The program was a practical, nuts-and-bolts approach to managing cryptocurrency in insolvency proceedings. The panelists provided an overview of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital assets. The panelists also addressed legislative and regulatory updates, as well as their effects on insolvency proceedings. Finally, the panelists discussed current cryptocurrency-based insolvency cases and crypto-specific bankruptcy issues.
Alan Rosenberg represents bankruptcy trustees, creditors, debtors, and other parties-in-interest, in all aspects of insolvency proceedings and bankruptcy-related litigation, including, but not limited to, the sale of bankruptcy estate assets and the pursuit and defense of avoidance actions and other litigation claims. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Alan also represents individual and corporate clients in various commercial litigation claims and real estate transactions.
