Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, FL – July 2, 2025 – Bankruptcy attorney Alan R. Rosenberg, a partner with the Florida law firm of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog, and a member of the firm’s Restructuring + Insolvency practice group, has been elected President of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.
Alan focuses on representing chapter 7 and chapter 11 bankruptcy trustees, as well as creditors, debtors, and other parties in all aspects of insolvency proceedings and bankruptcy-related litigation. He is a nationally recognized expert in the intersection of cryptocurrency and bankruptcy and ensuing complex litigation and is a Cryptocurrency Tracing Certified Examiner through CipherTrace.
Alan is an elected member of the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), a member of the ABI’s Education Committee, and Co-chair of the ABI’s Caribbean Insolvency Symposium. Alan is also a member of the Chapman Partnership Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and serves as Chair of the Development Committee. Further, Alan is a 2025 Florida Super Lawyer, 2024 Best Lawyer, 2022 Florida Trend Magazine Legal Elite Up & Comer, recipient of the 2022 Daily Business Review Florida Legal Award in the ‘On the Rise’ category, and was named a 2020 American Bankruptcy Institute 40 under 40 Insolvency Professional. Alan received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami and a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Florida.
