Over the weekend, the President signed into a law a bill extending the deadline by which applications can be made under the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”). The application deadline originally expired on June 30, 2020, but the new law extends the deadline an additional five weeks through August 8, 2020. There remains an estimated $130 billion available to lend under the program.
