Posted on Feb 27, 2021 - News by

Early this morning, the House of Representatives voted passed the President’s $1.9 trillion pandemic aid package.  Now that the bill has passed the House it will next go to the Senate, which is expected to make some changes including the removal of provisions increasing the federal minimum wage.

Among other things, the House bill includes:

  • direct aid to small businesses;
  • $1,400 stimulus check to Americans earning less than $75,000 per year;
  • an increase in the child tax credit;
  • direct funding to state and local governments;
  • funding for schools; and
  • more money for vaccine distribution.

We will provide further updates as the bill works its way through the Senate.  If you have any questions concerning these matters or if we can provide you with any further assistance, please let us know.
