Joshua D. Silver and Ross R. Hartog Interviewed about Increase in Bankruptcy Filings

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLOctober 9, 2024 – Joshua D. Silver and Ross R. Hartog, members of the firms Insolvency + Reorganization practice group, were recently interviewed by Alexander Lugo about the current state of the economy and the impact, if any, that interest rate cuts will have on bankruptcy filings.  Mr. Lugo’s article appeared in the October 9, 2024 edition of the Daily Business Review and is entitled “Even After an Interest Rate Cut, Fla. Lawyers Expect Bankruptcy Filings to Keep Rising.”

Over the course of his legal career, Silver has developed extensive experience representing bankruptcy trustees, encompassing all facets of estate administration, including the litigation of adversary proceedings, liquidation of assets, objections to claims, as well as assistance with all other aspects of their case management and reporting duties having served as counsel to Chapter 7 trustees in over 800 cases.  Past and present clients include panel trustees in both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He also has significant experience advising and representing debtors, creditors and other parties in interest across diverse bankruptcy proceedings and facilitating and negotiating out-of-court workouts for clients.  Silver is an elected Director of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, and has been named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers and an Up & Comer by Florida Trend’s Legal Elite.
