MIAMI, FL – July 21, 2023 – Lian de la Riva, a partner in the firm’s Trusts + Estates and Probate + Guardianship practice groups, attends the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (“HNBA”) 2023 Board of Governors Meeting in New York. Lian is the current National Secretary for the HNBA.
Lian represents professional fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and incapacitated individuals in all stages of a complex administration and litigated guardianship, probate, or trust matters. Lian also acts as a court-appointed trustee and curator. Before joining the firm, Lian served as a staff attorney to Judge Bernard Shapiro of the Eleventh Judicial Circut of Florida and was named a Fellow of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Lian is actively involved in the Hispanic legal community, serving as the current National Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, Region VIII board member, and Board of Director member of the Guatemalan-Maya Center. Lian is a frequent speaker and published author, a South Florida Legal Guide Up & Comer, and a member of the Young Lawyers Section and Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar. Lian holds a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law and a B.A. from Florida International University.
