Lian de la Riva Receives 2022 Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40 Award

MIAMI, FLFebruary 28, 2022 – Lian de la Riva, a partner in the firm’s Trusts + Estates and Probate + Guardianship practice groups, has been selected to receive the prestigious 2022 Hispanic National Bar Association’s (“HNBA”) “Top Lawyers Under 40 Award.”  After a rigorous review process, the HNBA’s Awards Committee selected 40 of the best HNBA members across the country.  The award honors exceptionally accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession. 

Lian represents professional fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and incapacitated individuals in all stages of a complex administration and litigated guardianship, probate, or trust matters.  Lian also acts as a court-appointed trustee and curator. Prior to joining the firm, Lian served as a staff attorney to Judge Bernard Shapiro of the Eleventh Judicial Circut of Florida and was named a Fellow of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.  Lian is actively involved in the Hispanic legal community, serving as the current National Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, Region VIII board member, and Board of Director member of the Guartamaelan Maya Center.  Lian is a frequent speaker and published author, she is a 2021 South Florida Legal Guide Up & Comer and a member of the Young Lawyers Section and Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar. Lian holds a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law and a B.A. from Florida International University.
