MIAMI, FL – December 2, 2024 – Litigation and Business attorney Rachel A. Camber, Senior Partner, with the Florida law firm of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog, has been selected one of Florida Legal Elite’s 2024 Notable Women Leaders in Law by Florida Trend Magazine.
Rachel was selected for making a measurable and specific impact in the types of legal cases handled, mentoring other attorneys, promoting professional practices and values in the workplace and demonstrating leadership in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives. She is a member of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog’s Executive Committee.
With a diverse practice in both transactional and litigation matters to prevent, negotiate, settle and litigate disputes, Rachel represents corporations and individuals in contract disputes, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights issues, leasing issues, bond claims, construction lien law issues, tax lien sale issues, banking litigation, real property litigation, and general corporate matters.. Rachel’s transactional practice includes drafting corporate documents including stock purchase agreements, partnership agreements, commercial lease agreements, and commercial loan documentation.
Rachel has a 30-year track record of leadership with not-for-profit organizations in South Florida. She is currently a member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (GMJF) Miami-Yerucham, Israel (sister cities) Partnership Committee, the GMJF Agency Support Subcommittee Committee for the Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center and the GMJF Agency Support Committee. Rachel served on the Board of the Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center from 2009 through 2019 and was President from 2017-2019. The JCC’s mission is to preserve and strengthen the South Dade community by providing programs and services that are rooted in and promote Jewish values, ethics and traditions. In 2018, she was honored as the Businesswoman of the Year in the Corporate Leader Category by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
Rachel is a fourth generation Miamian who has followed in the footsteps of her mother, grandmother and great grandmother who were devoted to philanthropic and community service. These women represent a legacy of community leaders who have contributed greatly to the fabric of Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County. She holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law and a B.A. from Newcomb College at Tulane University.
